Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark from 10.17 to 27.

Jesus put on when a man ran up to him, knelt down and asked: "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus said to him: "Why call me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: Do not commit murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do no harm to anyone, Honour thy father and thy mother. "L The man replied: "Master, I have observed all these commandments since my youth." Posing his gaze on him, he began to love it. He said: "A One thing you lack: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. "But he, in these words, became dark and s 'went away sad, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples: "How hard it is to those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!" The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said: "Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. "More and more confused, the disciples asked them:" Then who can be saved? Jesus looks at them and says, "For men this is impossible, but not for God, for everything is possible with God."

"At these words ... it would went away sad "

The case of the rich young man and his fellow reminds me of that of a traveler who, wishing to visit a city comes up at the foot of the walls, there is an inn, and descends, not discouraged by the latest he has left to do, then lose the benefit from the fatigue of his journey and fights to visit the beautiful city. These are those who observe the commandments, but rebelled at the thought of losing their property. I know many who fast, pray, do penance, and practiced well all kinds of works of piety, but do not pay a penny to the poor. What are their other virtues?

They will not enter the kingdom of heaven, because "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. " Clear speech, and its author does not lie, but few people let themselves feel. "How will we live when we are stripped of all ? they exclaim. What kind of life will carry us when everything is sold and there will be more properties? "Do not ask me how deep purpose behind the commandments of God.
