I look forward to December!

Yes I'm looking forward to December and it's not because he will start to have the snow because it will be less than 32 000 degrees Celsius, but because the 6th day of this month will be wonderful because I just bought my ticket for my cult band, Malajube, who will visit the Great Hall of the University Laval in the evening. I prances already looking forward ...

Tranchula Acohol Drinks

First Snow ... The perfect compromise

This afternoon, I was on the way back to Quebec City after a brief visit to Lake when suddenly, in the area of the junction of the road 169 and 175, the high peaks of mountains around us began to blanch. They looked at cakes sprinkled with icing sugar. Yup, you guessed it, it was snow. Shortly after, the rain hit my windshield was changed to''and'' slush and then, in falling snow at full sky. It was beautiful but also a little depressing ... Winter is near my friends, take your hoods!

How Do I See What Speed My Sky Router Is?

I'll raise the eternal debate between Quebec and Montreal with my post tonight. Indeed, you understand that for a guy like region me, Quebec City is the perfect compromise between city and my country Jeannois . There is not only the size of the city that is neither too big nor too small, it goes further than that.

First, the relative proximity to the Lake St-Jean (3 hour drive in the Parc des Laurentides and voila), which allows me to go for a ride for a weekend of two days without missing a half day for travel. That's fine, you take your afternoon at the job or school and you go to 2-3am to arrive at Mom and Dad with a mega good supper on the table! Wonderful. Then you have any the evening to celebrate what, god bless us, is very important in our region.

In second place comes the entertainment aspect. Of course, Montreal has all the big international shows but Quebec is full of quality venues (Grand Theatre, Petit-Champlain , Anglican, Imperial, Capitol, etc. ...) that allow us to appreciate artists of Quebec and elsewhere. At worst, it is only 2 hours drive to go see the big shows in Montreal.

Third, the proximity of nature, something that should not be neglected for anyone native Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean . Indeed, just 20 minutes by car up to go skiing or snowboarding to Stoneham, Lac-Beauport or Mont-Ste-Anne . The city is not as large and spread out as Montreal, which restricts the movement to go into nature. Just mention the River Park Jacques-Cartier Park and the Laurentian which are close to summarize this.

Then, for an athlete like me, there is of course not the Montreal Canadiens in Quebec City but there are still some events that can generate some interest. For example, Soccer Laval University Laval, which is a spectacular event (The R and O torch literally all teams without exceptions, including Carabins the U of M. ..). There is also the Quebec Remparts in the old coliseum (I love to go see Chicoutimi Chicoutimi cons of Quebec because they win all the time and can be a little disgusting Rempeux ), the Hockey World Championship in 2008, the Bell Challenge women's tennis and I probably forgot.

Finally, there the traffic is almost nonexistent in this city. So you can make you a little about anywhere in more than 30 minutes which I think is an advantage damn important, there is the ambience of Old Quebec , the multitude of good restaurants of all kinds, the attitude of the people of Quebec (A lot less stressed) etc. etc. etc..
So for me, I repeat, this is the perfect compromise. The Mayor Boucher would be proud of me!
